August 2015, Trip 1
After a few weeks of waiting we headed off to Murrindindi for the 1st outing in the new Trailer Tent.
With a night of 0 degrees it was a surprisingly pleasant night under the new canvas. Bad weather couldn't dampen the spirits with constant drizzly rain all day Saturday it was a great excuse to sit around the campfire, with the Kids all cooking up a Damper in the campfire oven.
After the wet day on Saturday it was a pleasant surprise to wake to sunshine on Sunday, after a hearty breakfast it was off to the Cascade Fall.
After the falls a detour off the dirt track down a 4WD track, which was a great track until we encountered a slight problem!!!
Not wanting to get bogged we turned around and headed back up to the dirt track. Only to find later we were only 300m from the end of the 4WD track. Anyway it was a great example of how road tyres can perform off road.
Great weekend a big thanks to the McKerrals for taking us to this beautiful spot.
