Trip 17-2  - Wilson’s Prom

Nov 2nd - 6th 2018 - Cup Weekend

Arrive Friday morning, set up in pouring rain, hail in afternoon.  70-80kph winds at night with gusts well over 100kph.  Good test for tent.  Bad nights sleep.

Saturday joined late morning by Connellan’s, afternoon hike to Sqeaky Beach and tidal outlook loop.

Sunday 

Foster Market in morning and Mt Oberon in afternoon.

Monday

Hike to Little Oberon Bay and surfing in afternoon

Tuesday 

Pack up in pouring rain, rain nearly all the way home.  1st ever pack up on rain.  Put tent up in drive to dry out.

Castlemaine

Trip 16-1 with Dominator

Sept 26th - 30th

Left home Wednesday lunchtime and got to Vaughan Sorings campground and set up by 3.30. 2st set up went well.

Thursday 27th sept

Castlemaine Town, lunch with Jeremy Schwarz.

Friday 28th

Panning for gold in morning.

Daylesford, a bit rainy lunch In Daylesford, stop off at Chocolate Mill and then a visit to lavender farm.

Saturday 29th Sept

Grand Final Day

Train trip on Goldfields Railway 

Watch grand final at Shed Shaker Brewery.

Sunday 30th

Pack up and back home by 3pm

Easter 2018

Left Good Friday early and arrived at Campsite Just outside Ayries Inlet.  Free camping no toilets(1st time)

Great couple of nights.  1st day spent at Loren, Trampolines and Mini Golf.

Second day early start, Bells Beach for Quiksilver Pro to watch Mick Fanning in last ever Como. (Awesome day).  Return to camp via Anglesea and Aryes Inlet and lighthouse.

Great weekend of gold prospecting and fun with friends, including rock climbing at Mount Beckworth.
